Happy Monday!!! This weekend was all about The 2013 BET Awards, from the pre-shows, the show and the after parties, L.A was full of events. The red carpet was all about drama and the color was white on white. Unfortunately I had to work but maybe next year. Let’s take a look at what we missed on the red carpet with the ladies, shall we!!!
Looking absolutely fabulous was Brandy Norwood in a Balmain inspired Michael Cinco coral beaded embroidered shear lace dress with peplum details. The singer/ actor styled her dress with earth tone accessories, a curly bob and flawless makeup.
The Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas looked adorable in this black & white lace Sherri Hill high-low cut dress with a sweeping train. Gabby finished her look with a pop of red on her lips.
Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham was also spotted on the red carpet. The actress wore a black plush velvet vintage Versace double strap cut-out bandage dress. This was a popular dress this weekend as it was also seen on former Disney star turned Maxim hot chic Miley Cyrus. Who do you think did the dress justice?
It seems like new mom Tamar Braxton can’t escape drama as husband was rejected from the red carpet by BET’s security. The beauty almost didn’t make it on the red carpet but pulled it off winning the first award of the night and looking flawless in the gorgeous brown maxi dress with a side slit styled with curls.
The always beautiful Megan Good was voted best dressed. The actress graced the red carpet in a very low cut blue dress with a high middle slit. Megan kept makeup flawless and hair very edgy. I’m not to fond of the dress, but I’m a fan of her makeup and hair. What do you think?
Adrienne Bailon looked like a goddess in this red maxi one shoulder dress styled with a high bun and high makeup. The actress/ reality star went with aqua blue accessories.
Rapper Eve looked so beautiful in this pink leather mini styled with blue cage sandals, mixed accessory, and side swept bob. Gorgeous!!!
Singer/ dancer Ciara went for a dominatrix effect on the red carpet in this two piece leather outfit. She opted for a leather halter top with a leather pencil skirt. Ciara completed her look with natural makeup and short bombshell curls.
What are the BET Awards without former America Next Top Model contested Toccara Jones. The model/ actress was seen in a white with black stripe Herve Leger dress by Max Azria. Toccara finished her now slim frame with a pop of red on her lips and long locks.
Former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams was all smiles on the red carpet in this gorgeous white deep-v halter dress which features feather like peplum details and middle slit.
While others were all glammed up, Latoya Luckett went for a more casual vide. The singer opts for a white jumpsuit with gold accessories.
Lala Anthony made her entrance on the red carpet in a red futuristic dress by Lanvin. The reality star went with a ponytail and makeup flawless. What do you think of Lala’s dress?
Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj did not join the all-white them for the red carpet but she did participate in the flawless face trend. The former American Idol judge wore a black lace John Hardy dress with a black shredded leather side panel and a plunging halter neckline.
Gabrielle Union proves ‘Dark Girls’ are gorgeous. The “Being Mary Jane” star looks amazing in this red Zac Posen sweetheart neckline strapless dress. She gave her look a pop of fab with her sleek hair and flawless makeup. Best face nominee!
Can’t forget about Janelle Monae who went with her signature look in an all-white menswear inspired suit by Dolce & Gabbana. The singer styled her look with a stunning bling high neck jeweled piece by Katarina Maxine, metallic Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ cut-out sandals and Norman Silverman ear cuffs.
Last but not least we have Taraji P. Henson in a black sheer halter top with leather detailed dress by Izmaylova and Jimmy Choo ‘Lace’ sandals. The Think Like A Man star went with a messy ponytail and natural makeup.
And that completes my list of fabulous females on the red carpet. There were a lot of ‘Hit’ and some ‘Miss’ moments, but I’ll let you be the judge. Who was your fave?
