Here lies another phenomenal collaboration from Target. This time the retail giant teamed up with designer Joseph Altuzarra who is known for his luxury women’s ready-to-wear. “It was very important to me that it feel very genuine and authentic — very ‘Altuzarra,'” the designer said at a preview of his Target collection on Wednesday night. The collection is for the grown and sexy and a first for a Target collaboration as they typically cater to the young and daring. Set your calendar for September 14 as the collection will launch in stores and online at target.com and net-a-porter.com with prices ranging from $19 to $90. Super affordable! (Fashionista)
When there’s good news there’s also bad news. Plus size blogger Chastity Garner of Garner Style penned an open letter to Target stating that the retail’s latest collaboration, Altuzarra x Target doesn’t cater to plus size fashionistas as the collection’s largest size is a 16 and has now started a petition #boycottingtarget (see her open letter here). Target has collaborated with amazing designers catering to the savvy but have they forgotten a whole demographic, our plus size divas? Share your thoughts. (FBD)
